90th Anniversary Book Print Association Exhibition Tokyo (2023)

After being the event manager

At the 90th commemorative print exhibition, I served as the event leader for the demonstration workshop. When I was offered the position of director, I had no way of knowing that it would be such a difficult task.

When I first arrived, there was no precedent to rely on regarding events, and there were no specific rules. Therefore, I relied on my experience working at traveling exhibitions to solve problems from a bird's-eye view.

First of all, what is important in proceeding with business is the collection and sharing of information.

This time, we used Google Drive as a platform and quickly started creating an organizational chart that allows us to check the details of each event and the instructors and assistants in charge, in order to raise awareness of each event and increase awareness of participation. Coordination and interaction between instructors and assistants is also one of General Affairs Baba's beliefs, so he appointed an assistant leader to serve as a point of contact with instructors at each event, and to carry out tasks and solve problems within the team as much as possible. In addition, we have compiled information and photos collected from the general affairs and secretariat offices on Google Drive so that they can be viewed and shared freely.

I also created posters, flyers, and equipment lists under the supervision of the general affairs and secretariat.

Once you have summarized your image in writing and have a clear path to the event, you suddenly see the usual scene at the workshop venue when there are no events

I decided to edit videos of materials research and other work and play them in a loop. This creates a space where you can take a deep breath in the exhibition hall, and the press inside the venue

As for the content of the event, I believe it is as the lecturers and assistants have said, so I will omit it.

I think we were able to convey the special feeling of the 90th anniversary to the outside world, but how was it perceived by the general affairs, secretariat, instructors, and assistants? I think there were a lot of things I was immature at, but thank you very much for your cooperation until the end. I would like to reflect, improve, and pass on this experience so that it can be used next year and beyond.
